TRIPOLI – The Ministry of Economy in Libya has recently implemented new measures to expedite the trademark registration process, in light of the country's new trademark law, according to the official website of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP). 

The main changes include:

- A legalized PoA from the Libyan Consulate in the applicant’s home country, valid for one year. 
- All assignment documents should be in original form and legalized.
- A copy of the applicant’s commercial registry or what could be an equivalent document for the same, with a validity term of one year.
