BEIRUT - Chairman of the Information Technology Committee of the Lebanese Parliament, MP Tony Frangieh, has received at his residence HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh (TAG.Global), to discuss means of enhancing the existing cooperation between TAG.Global and the Committee for the purpose of developing the technology sector in the country and help create a dynamic digital transformation process in Lebanon. 

During the meeting, the two sides underlined the importance of making use of the various advanced concepts driving the digital transformation to improve the education sector in Lebanon, taking into account the necessity of updating and modifying educational curricula at various levels. They also highlighted the importance of building new infrastructure in Lebanon, especially in terms of communications and the Internet to keep up with the rapid transformations imposed by the world of technology and information. 

The meeting was attended by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) Executive Director in Lebanon, Mr. Marwan Abu-Sahyoun;  Representative of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Culture and Media in Lebanon, Mr. Burhan Al Ashkar; Coordinator of the Digital Transformation Project in Lebanon, Dr. Wadiha Al-Amiouni; General Coordinator of Digital Transformation and Governance Network in Lebanon, Prof. Nadim Mansouri; and Legal Advisor, Mr. Antonio Fenianos.
