NEW YORK - The International Trademark Association (INTA) and LATAM Airlines Group S.A., headquartered in Santiago, Chile, announced that they formed an alliance to offer exclusive discounts to INTA members traveling from nine South American countries to the Association’s upcoming Annual Meeting. INTA’s 2022 Annual Meeting Live+ will take place in Washington, D.C., April 30 to May 4, and is the world’s largest gathering of brand and intellectual property (IP) professionals, a press release stated by INTA.

Under the agreement, LATAM Airlines Group will extend the special offer to those traveling between April 27 and May 6, 2022, to attend the 2022 Annual Meeting Live+. The beneficiary destinations are Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Annual Meeting registrants must fly in and out of Dulles International Airport, in Dulles, Virginia, or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, in Arlington, Virginia—both in the Washington, D.C., metro area, and must purchase their airline tickets before April 10.

Established as a pilot project, this is the first time that INTA and LATAM Group have teamed up. In the future, the agreement may be extended to other INTA-hosted meetings and events.

“Our new alliance with LATAM Airlines Group reflects INTA’s ongoing exploration of additional benefits to increase value for our members,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “With the changing global landscape and emerging IP trends, members from the Latin American region have expressed excitement about attending the Annual Meeting, our first in-person Annual Meeting in nearly three years. This exclusive offer should drive even greater participation.”

Among its members, INTA has about 500 Corporate and Associate member organizations, with more than 2,300 individuals, in Latin America and the Caribbean.
