AMMAN- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh hailed the performance of Jordanian soprano Zeina Barhoum in the opera “Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini, a co-production with the Bologna Opera House as "extraordinary" and "majestic."

The Barber of Seville performance was part of the Amman Opera Festival (AOF), held under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna and was founded by Barhoum in July 2017 and featured “La Traviata” in 2017 and, “La Boheme” in 2018.

"Barhoum is a great talent and an asset to the Jordanian music scene; her performance as Rosina, the opera’s leading role in the “Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini shows that her talent is extraordinary and this is what we need," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh who is a passionate music supporter said.

"We need more talents like Barhoum to enrich music in Jordan and take it to the global level and as we have seen in many occasions, we have what is needed and we should all work on it," he added.
