LOS ANGELES - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), together with the Nominating Committee (NomCom) Review Implementation Planning Team (IPT), is seeking volunteers to join the NomCom Review implementation working group. The results of this working group will impact all of ICANN's community so it is critical that all of ICANN's Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, as well as relevant stakeholder groups and constituencies participate according to the official website of ICANN.

As requested by the ICANN Board, the NomCom Review implementation working group will:

develop a detailed implementation plan, including appropriate costing, for the 27 recommendations of the NomCom Review, based on the guidelines detailed in the IPT's Feasibility Assessment and Initial Implementation Plan; and

oversee the implementation of these recommendations, once approved by the Board. The detailed implementation plan, including appropriate implementation costing, shall be submitted to the Board as soon as possible, but no later than six months after approval of the 14 March 2019 Board resolution, i.e. 14 September 2019.

The work commitment for this group is anticipated to be no less than two years with calls likely to take place every other week. No travel support will be provided for implementation working group members.

To join the NomCom Review implementation working group.

Please note, the implementation working group's first meeting will take place on April 17, 2019 and volunteers are encouraged to join before this date. However, the implementation working group will remain open to new members throughout its work so volunteers will be able to join at any time.

On March 14, 2019, the Board accepted the NomCom Review final report from the independent examiner, and the Feasibility Assessment and Initial Implementation Plan (FAIIP) from the NomCom Review Implementation Planning Team, subject to appropriate implementation costing. The Board requested that the ICANN organization work with the NomCom Review Implementation Planning Team, who had drafted the FAIIP, to convene a working group to draft a detailed implementation plan of the recommendations, and oversee the implementation of the recommendations.
