MANAMA - In the presence of His Excellency Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Her Excellency Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Arabic version of the book titled "Blankets Become Jackets" was launched at Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Center for Culture and Research, Kingdom of Bahrain, in the attendance of Bahraini writer Dr. Samira Rajab, who wrote the prologue to the book.

Launching the book in the presence of a host of diplomats, academics and the media people, was of a particular nature based on the historic bilateral relations between Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the Kingdom of Bahrain, as embodied in the establishment of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College of Business in Manama.

During the ceremony, Dr. Rajab, in introducing the book, said: "Inspiration is what I felt while reading this brief biography of the honorable Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, from the very first page to the last word before the back cover of the book ... It is hard to decide upon the specific true source of that inspiration because it is multiple and distributed throughout this inspirational biography, especially with such literary, well-formulated text, in its apparently-lucid linguistic choice.

"Despite my conviction that in this successful and generous biography of a self-made man, there are several events and stations that have not been included in this book, yet I believe that Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh has selected pivotal stations to convey in the most influential and effective wording and such expressive manner. "

Dr. Rajab also pointed out that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh has proven in his long biography, as did many of the first Palestinians who were forced to leave their land and suffered from the hardships of living, the sense of deprivation and loss of identity, that the issue of the occupied and ravished homeland cannot be erased from memory and conscience, no matter how many generations passed and cultures changed.

She then concluded by saying, "The esteemed Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh has achieved his successes believing in the need to work and develop the nation; a belief that rendered his horizons beyond the homeland's small spot to reach out regionally and globally."
On his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh praised the long-standing relations that tie him with the Kingdom of Bahrain, appreciating the profound bonds he maintains with the Bahraini people in particular and the Gulf States in general.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that every successful person must have a message, explaining that his own message could be summarized in three simple points: the human being should be loving to all, happy by always looking at the bright side of things and should finally eliminate the word failure from your dictionary, stressing that he himself is a person who believes in the importance of being at the forefront, that’s why he is always keen to search for new ideas and original inventions that would change the world.

In the chapters of his book, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh narrates a biography rich of events, twists, challenges, victories and failures; beginning with the 1948 Palestinian exodus , suffering poverty and deprivation, struggling and achieving aspirations by continuous academic excellence, study and unceasing work and commitment.

The book was launched in English in March last year under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal at the Arab Thought Forum.
