Abu-Ghazaleh Highlights the Role of Technology in 'Business and Education in the Middle East' by Nehme Azoury

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh's contribution in the ‘Business and Education in the Middle East’ publication was highly appreciated by its author Mr. Nehme Azoury due to its rich and comprehensive content that tackled the Impact of Technological Development on Business and Education.
 
In his letter to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, Azoury- a professor and dean of the Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik- said, "This book would not have been done without your precious and invaluable contribution. Thus, I am personally very proud of this final result."
 
The 139-pages publications include informative articles tackling the Next Digital Development in Education, A Business Outlook for the Arab Region and Education in the Middle East: Challenges and Opportunities, among others.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's contribution tackles several key issues regarded as futuristic by leaders in the educational field.
 
"In this digital age, students and educators are no longer confined within the walls of a traditional classroom. In fact, suck walls area gradually eroding away due to their failure at educating a growing population. Traditional teaching approaches have become somewhat ineffective at educating the masses," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said in the Universities without Walls section.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh who served on the United Nations Information and Communication Technologies Task Force stressed on the effect of technology on education saying that "Education is a fundamental human right," "and if education is going truly to stand up as a human right, it needs to be of a world-class caliber and available to all in an equal manner." 
 
He also stated that online education in the Arab world is projected to make a massive growth and there is a need to provide cost effective, high quality online education.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh concluded by stressing on the fact that technology is and will continue to be a key factor in developing both business and education.
