The First Commonwealth Domain Name System Forum 2014 to be Launched in June

LONDON - Leading Domain Name System (DNS) professionals will be gathering in London to inaugurate the first Commonwealth Domain Name System Forum 2014. The Forum is a joint initiative of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO), International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Nominet and the Public Interest Registry who will jointly host the first Commonwealth Domain Name System Forum 2014 in London on 19 – 20 June at the Hilton Metropole.

This Forum will showcase the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships through the collaboration of industry professionals and partner agencies working together to discuss the importance of this subject area.  The event is a major milestone for the industry with the recent global introduction of Generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs).  This two day event will guarantee to provide delegates with networking opportunities with international DNS stakeholders, governments, regulators and domain name registrars.

 
The Commonwealth Domain Name System Forum 2014 will bring together key stakeholders from across the Commonwealth and beyond to examine:

• Investment and innovation in DNS
• Domain name industry: Hidden wealth
• Governance of cyberspace
• The social impact of gTLDs
• Cooperation and multi-stakeholder partnerships
• Security of DNS
