LES-AC Launches Electronic Portal for Commercially Promoting Arab Inventions

AMMAN - The Licensing Executives Society-Arab Countries (LES-AC) launched an electronic portal for the commercial marketing of inventions in the Arab countries; which can be found at, by creating an electronic database for the Arab inventors.

The aim of this initiative, which comes as an implementation to the recommendations of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, LES–AC president at the Licensing Opportunities Forum 2011 held in Sharjah, is to convey the inventor’s innovations and promote the initial capital arrangements with the purpose of establishing a partnership between the investors and inventors.

LES-AC’s experts will provide consultation services to facilitate the promotion of such inventions in the first tour and in order to support the inventors by ensuring the quality of the data provided by LES-AC.

The electronic portal provides the opportunity for investors to learn about up-to-date inventions registered in the Arab countries in various fields, thus allowing them to select the available and suitable investment opportunities.

Additionally, the electronic portal will allow the investors to transfer their inventions into products and market them locally and globally, consequently enabling them to meet with interested investors.

LES–AC Manager Ms. Renad Al-Noubani, stated "The initiative aims to help entrepreneurs and innovators network and meet with the interested investors, which will contribute to the socio-economic development. It also supports the Arab inventions seeking licensing, partnership, financing, or marketing with investors in their fields in the region".

She also noted that the initiative supports in various ways the role of LES-AC in becoming the leading Arab inventions marketing organization.

Furthermore, after its success in the first tour in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine, LES-AC is preparing to launch a second tour of the Technology Commercialization Tour in cooperation with UN-Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). With the participation of iPARK, the aim will be to provide possible support to entrepreneurs and innovators in the various sectors of technology.

The initiative also aims in offering opportunities to the inventors by enabling them to network and meet with investors on a competitive basis that concluded previous stages during the last four months. The stages include the lodging of applications in relation to certain requirements, nominating the applications, and finally qualifying the best entrepreneurships which has passed the previous stages, allowing them to present their projects to the investors.
