AGIP Becomes an Accredited Registrar of .PW

AMMAN - Signifying another milestone for Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) in the domain names field, AGIP became an official .PW (Professional Web) accredited registrar on January 29, 2013. Accordingly, AGIP is the first Arab company to achieve this eminent status.
According to AGIP, the launch schedule for the .pw Top Level domain names includes Sunrise, Landrush and General Availability phases which are summarized as follows:
Sunrise period: Started from December 3, 2012 and lasts through February 8, 2013. It has been tailor made for trademark holders in order to avoid costly and time consuming domain name resolution and recovery processes. All trademark holders are advised to protect their trademarks during this phase.
Landrush phase: Begins on February 18, 2013 and lasts through March 18, 2013. This phase gives opportunity to register short and generic names.
General Availability phase: Starts on March 25, 2013. During this phase the general public may register .pw domain names on a first-come, first-served basis, without any restrictions.
AGIP will offer the best domain name registration services to its existing clients and potential clients under the new domain which will be powered by CentralNic.
