MARINA DEL REY, CA - Completing the selection of meeting sites for 2013, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Board approved Buenos Aires, Argentina, as the location of ICANN’s 48th public meeting, to be held 17-21 November 2013. According to the Corporation, the Board also approved Singapore, London and a North American city (to be determined) as locations for the organization’s 2014 meetings.

ICANN holds three public meetings each calendar year in different regions of the globe. Usually comprised of more than 200 different sessions, these week-long meetings are the focal point for individuals and representatives of the different ICANN stakeholder groups to introduce and discuss issues related to ICANN policy. Participants may attend in person or remotely. Meetings are open to everyone and registration is free.

The Board previously approved Beijing, People's Republic of China for the April 2013 meeting and Durban, South Africa for the July 2013 meeting.
