CSR and WiLAN Reach Agreement to End Litigation

OTTAWA, Canada - Wi-LAN Inc., a leading technology innovation and licensing company, announced in a press release that CSR plc (“CSR”) and WiLAN have signed a memorandum of understanding in which WiLAN and CSR shall enter into licensing arrangements that include a multi-year license to WiLAN’s patent portfolio.

The agreement will include the dismissal of all litigation between the companies, and the dismissal of all litigation between WiLAN and CSR customers relating to CSR products, in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.  WiLAN expects a final definitive agreement to be signed within the next few weeks.  Specific financial terms of the agreement reached are confidential.
