AMMAN - Under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan, president of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in collaboration with the RSS and the Jordan Innovation Center for Engineers and Industrial Enterprises at the Royal Scientific Society (JIC-RSS) are holding the “Patent Drafting Workshop” August 3-6, 2009.
The different sessions of the four-day workshop will discuss issues related to the economic impact of patents, the importance of patent protection and how are inventions invented?
The participants, during the event, will be introduced to patent litigation cases in the Arab region, practical exercises in patent drafting and success stories of innovation and patent activities in Jordan.
The training will be conducted by distinguished international patent attorneys, who are practitioners of patent drafting and patent prosecution in different technical fields, in addition to local experts.
Scientists, researchers, technology managers, inventors and attorneys with technical backgrounds, who will be drafting patent claims in the future will take part in the event.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Research and Technological Development and Innovation Initiatives and Strategies in Jordan (SRTD), an EU-funded program run by the Higher Council for Science and Technology, National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES), and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation.
