MediZine Named in Intellectual Property Lawsuit Filed by MTS

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Marketing Technology Solutions Inc. (MTS) announced in a press release that it has filed a lawsuit alleging that MediZine, LLC infringed MTS's Intellectual Property Rights and misappropriated trade secrets and other confidential information by utilizing MTS-copyrighted online lead generation software in support of RemedyLife.com, a health website owned and operated by MediZine.

"Our business of online lead generation and performance marketing services for healthcare advertisers is based heavily on intellectual property," said Cliff Farren, senior vice president at MTS.

"We have a duty to our customers, employees, and shareholders to protect our proprietary and copyrighted lead generation platform and related assets. We have invested significant capital and years of development to serve leading marketers in healthcare, an industry that recognizes the importance of defending intellectual property rights."

Specifically, the lawsuit alleges, among other claims, copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, tortious interference with contract, and aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty against MediZine. By its lawsuit, MTS seeks preliminary and permanent injunctive relief, as well as monetary damages. The suit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Marketing Technology Solutions is a leading online media and marketing platform, providing performance-based marketing solutions to leading healthcare advertisers.
