NEW YORK, NY - Beginning on May 16 through May 20, the International Trademark Association (INTA) will welcome 7,500 delegates from around the world to the Washington State Convention & Trade Center (WSCTC) in Seattle, Washington, for the Association’s 131st Annual Meeting, a press release by the INTA stated.
This global business meeting, the largest gathering of trademark owners and professionals in the world, will bring together participants from more than 130 countries to downtown Seattle for five days of educational sessions, discussion forums, guest speakers and networking receptions.
INTA welcomes Elle Macpherson as its special keynote speaker who will on May 17, 2009 at the Opening Ceremonies. Macpherson is a globally recognized supermodel, actress, businesswoman and brand owner, and she will offer a unique insight into her experiences as an entrepreneur who relies on trademarks and other forms of Intellectual Property (IP) to sell her company’s products worldwide.
“This meeting is the biggest and best-attended event in the intellectual property community, and we are thrilled to be in Seattle and thank our host city for welcoming us so graciously. And with Elle Macpherson as our keynote speaker, we are in for a wonderful beginning to our five-day event,” INTA Executive Director Alan Drewsen noted.
INTA’s Annual Meeting is open to journalists. Reporters are encouraged to register and attend the event free of charge. Press registration will be held onsite at the main registration booth.
INTA will offer an Internet-enabled Press Room at the WSCTC, which will be open during the Meeting’s regular business hours with workspace and refreshments available throughout the day.
