CARLSBAD, CA - Patriot Scientific Corporation announced in a press release that Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent (MMP) Portfolio license from the TPL Group, Patriot Scientific’s exclusive MMP licensing partner.
“The addition of Roche as a licensee demonstrates the breadth of products that can benefit from an MMP Portfolio license, and we are pleased to welcome them as the latest addition to a distinguished group of MMP Portfolio licensees who are leaders in global technology and business,” Patriot Scientific CEO Rick Goerner said.
The Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio contains Intellectual Property (IP) that is jointly owned by the privately-held TPL Group and publicly-held Patriot Scientific Corporation.
The MMP Portfolio includes seven US patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts. It is widely recognized that the MMP Portfolio protects fundamental technology used in microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital signal processors (DSPs), embedded processors and system-on-chip (SoC) devices.
