Coughlin Files Major Patent Infringement Suit

ATLANTA, GA and SAN DIEGO, CA - Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP, the world's leading plaintiffs' law firm, representing IntusIQ, announced that it has filed a major patent infringement suit against Oncor, Reliant Energy, Comverge, Datamatic, EKA Systems, Sensus, Tantalus, Tendril Networks, and Trilliant on behalf of its client IPCO LLC d/b/a IntusIQ.

The patent infringement lawsuit was filed for infringement of two of IntusIQ's valuable mesh technology portfolio patents - US Patent Nos. 7,054,271 and 6,249,516 - in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

As a result of these defendants' on-going infringement, IntusIQ seeks both injunctive relief and monetary damages.

IntusIQ, a leading developer of mesh technology, is led by one of the wireless industries' greatest and most prolific inventors, T. David Petite. Petite has been active in this industry for over a decade and has developed many leading edge solutions.

"IntusIQ's inventors have made significant contributions to this wireless technology since its evolution. This lawsuit is intended to protect IntusIQ's business, existing licensees and valuable patent rights," Chair of Coughlin Stoia's Intellectual Property Practice Group and IntusIQ's lead counsel John Herman said.

"IntusIQ works with companies wishing to tap the rich experience of our inventors through its Essential Wireless MeshTM enablement program,” IntusIQ Chairman Oliver Lee stated.

“IntusIQ filed this suit today alleging infringement of its patents by these defendants to protect our existing customers' investment in their licensed business,” he added.

“We have an active technology enablement program for our technology and patents, but where necessary we will continue to ensure that the value of our Intellectual Property is protected up to the point of asking courts for injunctive relief to stop a business from selling or using infringing products or services that continue to damage IntusIQ with no regard for our Intellectual Property," Lee concluded.

IntusIQ is a leading innovator of mesh networking and related technology with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and McKinney, Texas.
