BOSTON - Iron Mountain Incorporated, the global leader in information protection and storage services, will be presenting at two upcoming events on how to protect both mission-critical applications and proprietary data in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) relationship.
A press release by Iron Mountain stated that SaaS is a software delivery method that provides access to software and its functions remotely as a web-based service. SaaS is also known as on-demand software.
Companies are embracing the SaaS model because it allows organizations to access key business functionality at a cost typically less than paying for licensed applications and without investments in a physical infrastructure, people or time to implement.
However, SaaS does not come without risk. Considering that SaaS services can either be hosted by—or reliant on—unknown third parties, it is imperative that SaaS subscribers are both wary and prepared.
At these upcoming events, Iron Mountain Digital’s Frank Bruno will discuss protection strategies for SaaS subscribers and providers.
Iron Mountain Digital is the world's leading provider of Software- and Storage-as-a-Service solutions for backup and archiving.
