The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), along with the European Patent Office (EPO),

WASHINGTON, DC - The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the US Chamber of Commerce are presenting a seminar in Portland, Oregon on September 14, 2007, a press release by the USPTO stated.

The one-day seminar will highlight the growing threats of counterfeiting and piracy, while providing practical information on how businesses can protect their own intellectual property rights both in the United States and overseas.

US Representative Earl Blumenauer will be the guest keynote speaker.
