On the occasion of one-year countdown to Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing Intellectual Property (IP)

BEIJING - On the occasion of one-year countdown to Beijing Olympic Games, Beijing Intellectual Property (IP) Administration launched an IP protection publicity and education program on bus advertising displays, according to the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO).

Focusing on the publicity of basic IP knowledge, Olympic Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Beijing IPR, the three-month program will be launched in the whole municipality in three phases.

Beijing IP Administration deliberately selected 351 buses in more than 80 bus routes, covering the whole municipality and focusing Chaoyang CBD, Zhongguancun Science Park, Shangdi Hi-Tech Park, Yizhuang Development Zone and places concentrated with universities and shopping malls. The advertising displays inside these buses will be replaced by information like "protecting IPR and cracking down on IPR infringement," "informants' hotline: 12312" and picture posters of the IPR basic knowledge.

With the operation of these buses, these IP protection policies and knowledge will surely spread among citizens, and the consciousness of protecting IPR will surely be rooted deep in the minds of the public. With the knowledge in their minds, the public will surely create a sound social environment and contribute to a successful Olympic Games.
